I See You the Way I See a Flower is a book design that reinterprets Na Taeju’s I See You Like I See a Flower and Nobuyoshi Araki’s Blue Period/Last Summer together, exploring contrasting perspectives on love, beauty, and impermanence.
My role involved designing a book that pairs Na Taeju’s delicate poetry with Nobuyoshi Araki’s provocative photography. By placing Na’s gentle reflections on love alongside Araki’s confrontational imagery, the design creates a deliberate tension between love expressed through words and desire experienced through the gaze. This contrast invites readers to question how love, beauty, and intimacy can shift in meaning depending on perspective.
