The Bouba/Kiki effect, a cognitive phenomenon where 95% of people link speech sounds with visual shapes, associating “bouba” with rounded forms and “kiki” with jagged ones.

My role involved using JavaScript to design and develop the interactive piece. Through responsive shape generation and simple mouse interaction, the project visually demonstrates the relationship between sound and form, offering a playful visual interpretation of the Bouba/Kiki phenomenon and highlighting how language can influence visual perception.
